“City Of Opportunity”

The City of Encinal has street lights, a sanitation department and a public water supply corporation to provide water and wastewater services to the City and surrounding area. The water and waste water systems were recently expanded to accommodate city expansion and economic growth. The existing Post office was built in 1975 and receives deliveries daily. The City also has a fire truck and volunteer fire department.

An elementary school exists with grades through the 5th grade. Higher education is provided in Cotulla, approximately 30 miles north for which transportation is provided. The city has one Catholic church for worship, the “Immaculate Heart of Mary”, which is located centrally in the city, near the school and City Hall on Santa Fe’ street. The city population has been as high as 800 with 13 businesses in the 1940’s and is presently at 627 with 8 businesses. The City is strategically located halfway between Laredo and Cotulla and provides a healthy country atmosphere for the retired family. Real estate is less expensive than the larger cities yet is close enough to use their services. Real estate is plentiful with numerous opportunities for building a residence. The city is located on the intersection of Interstate highway 35 and Highway 44. This gives the town direct travel to Freer, Cotulla and Laredo.

Commercially, the City is actively seeking businesses to relocate to the area. The present time would provide opportunity for work with the Oil & Gas business, Loves Stores, Exxon on the run, County facility, the ranching community and various types of work associated with deer hunting.  Presently, the City has 2 gas stations, 5 restaurants, 1 auto repair shop and 1 truck tire repair shop.

This website has been created to show everything that the City of Encinal has to offer to future businesses, future residents, or simply future visitors. The City has grown substantially in the past 10 years and we believe it is time  for the city to take that next step in growth to compete with our sister city, Cotulla.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
